‘We wanted the sound to remain as organic as possible.'
This is melancholic and yet uplifting ambient music, or as Barsmark so eloquently put it, music that ‘creates quiet meaning’.
The first single to be released from Pt.2 of the Danish Duo’s EP hvidt lyser stein, (set for release on 13th April), afblæst, sounds a little like Bon Iver’s more recent work.
The music gently unfolds with a building rondo of anticipation, pipelike sounds and swirling futuristic synths, resolving with a mix of delicate guitar picking and wind instrumentation to create an ethereal acoustic folksy atmosphere.
A magical and unique track that is quintessentially Barsmark.
