Stanleystanley is the alias that electronic music producer and short film composer Jordan Russell Hall uses for releasing ambient music. He looks towards the more unsettling side of ambient music by taking influences from outside the realm of calming or meditative music. Influenced by electronics producers such as Oneohtrix Point Never, Actress and Nathan Micay, he chooses to use synthetic voices, pulsing syncopated rhythms & glass-like synths to create something unquiet yet still warm & ambient.
“The main melody in this track was originally written on guitar but I found it more effective when applied to the ominous sounds of synthetic voices. Applying this melody to some thick bass tones and echoing bells gives an unsettling take on unquiet ambient music.”
