‘Laguna’ is the second single to be released from Richard Talbot’s upcoming solo album ‘Red Sargasso’ (set for release on 29th April).
As one of the founder members of the seminal ambient three-piece Marconi Union, Richard is equally responsible for shaping and designing their definitive sound.
Laguna is a narrow or shallow body of water reflecting light and sound, both mysterious and romantic, here translated musically into lush magical evocative atmospherics using swirling sound and field recordings.
Listening to Laguna makes you feel as if you are both looking down at this scene in beautiful colours and sounds, but also looking up from the water at the same time - liquid and everchanging.
A charming and alluring organic track, an ‘imaginary place’ that Richard in his own words creates, and one that we can have the pleasure of sharing.
