"I was in Thailand last summer and when I got home I sat down and wrote this track. My time out there, and other outside factors, played a big influence in the content and aesthetic of the track - it mixes a lot of the sounds and music that I heard there whilst away, along with the band-orientated music that I was listening to at the time".
‘Last Night In Bangkok’ is a new track by London based producer and artist, Sam Brown AKA Sker. Sam brings with him a fresh approach to music & production, focusing on creating otherworldly vibes, being open to experimentation, pushing the limits of what the artist can create.
“For me, ambient music has broad boundaries and isn’t defined by its archetypical instruments, sounds or synths, but allows artistic freedom and invokes a space to think and reflect. Having grown up in a picturesque seaside town with a huge variety of environments - beaches, forests, city & countryside - that, in a way, has given me more varied inspiration and has in turn altered my perception of the way in which ‘ambient music’ should be perceived and produced”
This is the follow up to ‘Burgundy’ which we released last year. Sker is currently busy in the studio making new music and has a new EP on the horizon.
