“The kind of ambient music I like draws the listener into sonic environments to explore rather than traditional songs. It offers momentary windows into these other worlds. It meanders, using sparse melodies and subtle changes to grab some attention, but at the same time stay in the background.”
The Molten EP is a collection of three beatless, meditative, pure ambient tracks, going from the slow moving, meandering melodies of Hold, through the drifting soundscapes of Undercurrent to the cinematic, subdued piano of Reckoning.
.Having released music in digital and physical form on several labels since 2011 under different alias, Qaett is a return to basics. Under this guise the artist creates ambient music in its purest form, soundscapes and neo-classical piano music with strong lo-fi influences and dreamy, melancholy beats.
