Rob Lewis’ beautiful piano EP, Muted, released today, is an exploration of themes around solitude and focus during the challenging times we are facing right now as a society.
Piano is one of this multi-instrumentalist and composer’s favourite instruments, and he was excited to create some music which is stripped back to expose the absolute beauty of the instrument.
The Wait is designed to ask the question about the inner voice that occupies the majority of human minds, and to ask what that voice represents. The gradually evolving nature of the melody dancing around the steady pulse of the chord progression represents the patience we need to keep ourselves focussed.
