“Pjusk stand as one of the very few current ambient acts that's able to draw two opposites - pure noise and pure music - into the same space and make it sound original, accessible and human...music that's somewhere beyond both old-school ambient (Eno, Krautrock, spacemusic) and ambient dance music, occupying a mysterious and creative place they can call their own". Ambient Music Guide
Over the last few months we have introduced you to the music of Norwegian artist, Pjusk, and we are now please to release the EP “One Place to Another. The centre point of the EP is Anne Garner - the magic of her mesmerising voice, the ambiguity, the unanswered question and the breath between notes. A rare blend of solace and lament, by turns sorrowful and sanguine, a deep well of comfort for hearts in need.
Double bass, guitars and the Pjusk production wrap it all up in an exquisite ambient journey.
In the above featured track, Unrailed, Pjusk appear to be overshadowed by fear and doubt. With it’s soft clubby dub ambient vibe interspersed with wispy beautiful vocals, it feels like a journey for lost souls, shuffling relentlessly to the horizon. A journey worth making and a gentle reminder that stark beauty comes in all forms, happy or sad, light or dark, resolved or unresolved.
