“I discovered ambient music when I was a teenager with the record “No Pussyfooting” by Robert Fripp and Brian Eno. First upset, I then went from fascinated to obsessed. At the time I wondered what it would sound like if this droning guitar record was played by a classical orchestra. A few weeks later I discovered Glass, Reich and Riley..”
Lo-fitronics is the audio and visual project of French musician, Arnaud Le Coq.
Solaire is the first track to be released from his Five Arcana EP, an EP about symbolism as a visual language and how it interacts in our lives. Arnaud describes it as:
“A kind of slow textured melodic video where the instruments play themselves, for no one, in search of nostalgia.”
His childhood was about drawing, his adolescence about music. After studying music and graduating from the Paris Conservatoire, he began working with various groups as a guitarist, but then decided to focus on his own music, searching for the balance between the concrete and the abstract, between instinct and study, creating beautiful hallucinatory ambient pieces.
